The soles gripped well, and the leather developed nicely. I had heard stories about people who babied their Shell cordovan to keep it from getting splotchy or unevenly worn, but this Shinki Shell seemed to love the wet, and would develop more character in the elements without losing its sheen. My job requires me to sometimes get down on the floor and play with the littles, jump around, take the on strolls to the park and play chase occasionally. Most of the time is just me walking around while typing notes in my laptop. So, my Addicts have been in that mostly office environment but have also weather the occasional outdoor walk, or very occasional garden project. I try to limit the use of “work” category projects and would don my 10875s for those. I wanted to be intentional, take care of my boots, push them appropriately and not baby them. I'm a photographer so sometimes I'm just sitting at a desk and other times I'm working on my feet the whole day. I'm also a dad dropping off their kid to school or doing groceries. Other times I'm doing long drives to meet with clients and walking around different types of locations. These boots have been perfect in all situations.
The ease of sliding them on and off is perfect for a busy dad. The construction of the arch and heel has given me support that my feet needed to stay comfortable all day no matter what I'm doing. The shell cordovan takes a beating and keeps looking classy.
Feet stay warm when it's cold and breathe fairly well when it's hot. Mainly can control the temperature with the type of socks I'm wearing...."Read the full review
