I walk around town in them, usually on hard surfaces. I travel in them (some of my patina photos were taken on a trip to Belize). I've noticed my brake pedal has worn prints in the left boot from operating the clutch. I just wear them, doing whatever I happen to be doing that day. I don't really hike or anything in these.
