By justinmcgustin • November 30, 2024"The tpr seems to scuff off to reveal a beautiful matte grain underneath. I haven't done anything crazy to patina them. They did get a sun tan, mostly below the cuff at first. Break-in has been pretty easy with just a little discomfort. The rolls are developing beautifully with very little or no creasing. A nice orange-brown seems to be slowly coming in over time...."Read the full review

I also applied some Venetian Show Cream around month 5. But honestly this leather didn’t a lot of care, it responded to brushing really well and the vamp is just beginning to show slight rolls from the shell hiding within the horsebooty...."Read the full review

The break in was quick and these became comfortable for longer days after the first week of wear. I brushed these 3-4 days a week as I really liked the shine produced and conditioned using Saphir renovateur 4 times and used Saphir Crème 1925 twice...."Read the full review

The leather has molded to my ankles and feet and they have grown more and more comfortable as I've gone along. The leather has darkened into an orangey-brown color that I've really enjoyed. It wasn't quite the dramatic shift I've seen in some of the other postings from others in the completion, but I've lovingly cared for them over the months, brushing and applying Bicks when needed, and they've treated me well...."Read the full review
By Solis • April 5, 2025"It’s pretty incredible - was pale flesh to start, has aged into a gorgeous orange-tan-bronze hue. Creamy pull/up is apparent at flex points. Most notably it does not crease, but rather it rolls not unlike shell cordovan. Incredible leather. It’s never needed more than brushing, but I did give it the occasional shot of Saphir Renovateur...."Read the full review
By rsielaff • April 4, 2024"I love the way this leather patinas, forms to your foot limits creasing. I struggled a little bit with one of the toe caps on one boot looking a little different than the other in the beginning. But, I knew the patina would set in an I wouldn’t notice. That held to be true. I also struggled a little with the first few discolorations and scrapes. I found that I tend to catch my truck door with my right foot when I get out. Oh well just part of the patina story. Over time I really felt that the scrapes, discoloration and dings mellowed out and formed a nice blend of colors. The overall color of the leather changed a little in the beginning and then seemed to find its happy place. I primarily used Venetian Imperial Leather Balm because it was supposed to change the color very little while having a little more wax and shine than the shoe cream version. I tried both and didn’t see too much difference. I conditioned as needed and a little more often than some recommend, but I like to keep the leather looking good and not dried at all. I found the frequency depended heavily on how wet the leather got but usually was 1-2 months as I think this leather tends to be a little drier than others. The break-in was nearly negligible for this shoe. I think it was because it fit me so well...."Read the full review

A grey/green/brown to start has now turned into a deep brown which can still deceive depending on the light. Relatively frequent brushing and a couple of conditions...."Read the full review
