NF Bootmaker

Nathan Florsheim established NF Bootmaker in 2021. The company began its operations that year in Cleveland.

Nathan Florsheim produces each pair of boots by hand in a Cleveland-based workshop.

NF Bootmaker uses a full-vamp single row stitchdown construction method. The standard boot includes horsehide vamp liners, solid brass hardware, brass tacks, 6mm vegetable-tanned buffalo leather insoles, 6mm vegetable-tanned leather shanks, 3mm vegetable-tanned heel counters, 3mm vegetable-tanned midsoles, 5mm vegetable-tanned heel lifts, and hand-stitched outsoles.

Available leather options include types produced by Horween, CF Stead, La Perla Azzurra, Maryam, and Bakers. Selections are listed on the company’s official website.

NF Bootmaker produces boots and shoes including the Milton Boot, Milton Shoe, Belmont Shoe, Belmont Boot, and Fritz Boot. Published prices start at $1,700 for shoes and $1,800 for boots.

The company provides sizing instructions intended to support made-to-measure fitting for each pair.
