I work on the exterior of houses so im always on rough uneven terrain and lots of trash and materials. The texas weather is very drastic. It can be hot, cold, rainy snowing in the same month. They were part of my tools because they offer protection and arch support. I loved that i could just slip them on and off in seconds. I loved the 55 heel. It really helps on the uneven terrains. I stuck to 4-5 days a week for these. I probably should have been in the open dome instead of the work dome since I ride a desk more than anything. A tough pair for a tough year
Nicks Pullman in 64 Brown Double ShotBy DrJohnCrunch • April 6, 2025"These Pullmans have been in every environment I could put them in. From daily wear in the hospital to walking the streets of NYC to snowy solo hikes throughout the winter they’ve stood up to it all.
I started medical residency this year and I bought these boots as a bit of a gift to myself for taking the next step in my career. I also bought them knowing I would be wearing them daily in the hospital. I quickly became known as “the boot guy” both among my coresidents as well as the hospital staff and my patients. Even though I wear a mask most of the time people can identify me by the footwear. Not only did these boots support me physically on my feet daily but they also became a bit of a part of my identity, at least in the way that others could pick me out easily. Being daily work boots for a new physician, these boots have been in a lot of tough situations this year; they were there when I introduced myself as a physician for the first time, when I discharged my first patient after watching them recover under my care, when I had difficult conversations with patients and their families about tough diagnoses, when I have seen people through their final moments, and when I have been parts of emergency life saving situations. As silly as it may sound, through all of these new/scary/difficult situations, these boots have helped me feel grounded and solid through it all. They help me stand tall even during the longest work hours of my life and they help me crouch down to speak eye to eye with my patients when they can’t get up out of bed.
These boots have also been part of some of the happiest times of my life. I got both engaged and married this year. I’m one of the lucky guys whose wife actually beat me to it and she proposed first. Even so, I proposed to her a few weeks later and these boots were on my feet when I got on one knee. These boots were also on my feet through the entire process of setting up and decorating our wedding venue and they were on my feet while we hiked the blue ridge mountains while on our mini-honey moon. I’ve been glad to have something that has linked all these occasions that I can continue to wear and cherish for years to come. Every time I slide these boots on, I know a new memory can be made...."Read the full review

Nicks DomePro in Seidel 1964 Tan RoughoutBy giraffchen • April 5, 2024"I wore these most days (4-5 days per week), but I allowed myself to wear whatever boots or shoes I wanted (like most, I have a small collection). I didn't baby these, but took care of them and didn't purposely beat them up for the competition. Brushed most evenings after wearing them with horsehair brush, about once a week with a stiffer nylon brush. Didn't use saddle soap, conditioner, or wax, though I will give these a deep clean in the next week or so.
Worn for office/work from home; light yardwork; rain and snow; occasional hikes. Worn with casual outfits and grubby clothes...."Read the full review

Lots of walking at shops, farms and truck yards so plenty of mud, rain, snow, etc. Usually badly in need of some love by the end of the week. They clean up well enough. Weekend Warriors Just Getting Good

Being in a clinic setting for work I felt I couldn’t pull these off with scrubs so I tried to wear them as often as possible and I knew I had a lot of work ahead of me if I wanted to have any contention in the work dome. During my off time I like to be outside and doing more physical work in general because it offers a bit of release from the mental fatigue of my profession. These boots served me well during various tasks and I feel like they’re just getting good. Some of the activities included splitting wood for barbecue and the fireplace, hiking into the wilderness to collect yamadori for bonsai, splitting and shaping staves of Osage orange in order to make hunting bows and just general yard work. They saw wind, rain, sand, mud, rocks, and wood. The only thing missing was fire...."Read the full review

Whether I was walking into town, doing chores outside, running errands, or hanging out, these were my primary drivers. First week i aerated the lawn with a pitchfork. I regret two things: getting my new boots muddy and not wearing gloves.
Helping friends and family with car maintenance, oil change and repairs.
I still ride my moped to work everyday in rain, snow and salted ice roads. Clerking, moving boxes, pallets, assembeling, transporting and repairing different disability equipment.
They have been worn in the woods and on lighter mountain hikes.
Walking around my local city and on vacation in London taking film photographs...."Read the full review
