Viberg Sample Sale
Living in Victoria B.C. I have always wanted a pair of Viberg boots. I visit the store often to buy leather off cuts and they have, in their display case, a pair in cream and blue that I drool over. This pair was sitting on their sale rack one day as a sample and to my great surprise just happened to be my size!!! I had recently been watching a lot of you tube vids about rough out boots and couldn’t resist the price. After getting them home I learned about the patina thunderdome and knew I had to save them, so they sat on the self waiting…
These boots have taken me everywhere! As a hat maker I work from my home studio so my footwear gets gentle wear, however, over the thunderdome I took a position in the costume department at Cirque du Soleil and these were perfect for working backstage in the big top. They took me hiking, snow shoeing, dancing, and for miles and miles of walking. I’ve worn them with jeans, skirts dresses, overalls and shorts, there is really no occasion they don’t work for. I’m so unbelievably happy with how comfortable they have become, they are definitely my go to choice for footwear.
Rough out is soo tough! These boots still look brand new and yet they have so much wear. All I’ve done is brush them and condition the tongue and inside, super easy care. They took a bit to break in but now are my amongst my most comfortable.
My only complaint would be that the insoles that came with these were flimsy, I’ve replaced them with leather insoles and love them.
I would definitely buy another pair of Vibergs, these boots will last a lifetime. Thank you soo much for all the effort put into the dome! I have loved wearing my boots and now that they’re broken in so nicely will continue to wear them daily.
