I wore these boots everywhere. I work in a machine shop so they saw the most wear time there. Lots of casual wear, and slightly dressed up for trade shows. Also, a lot of dog walks.
The break in was very easy. Watching the patina develop and evolve over time was a great experience. The cypress leather held up fantastic in a light duty work environment. I brushed almost daily due to the dusty nature of my shop. I washed and conditioned once with Viberg branded products.
I was very comfortable with how these boots fit me throughout the entire experience.
I am very satisfied with the build quality and the timeless design of the Viberg Service Boot.
The Ridgeway sole exceeded my expectations. Comfortable enough, low profile, and great traction. They look to have a long life before my first resole.
I only discovered the The Stichdown Patina Thunderdome in October. At that time I thought it might be something fun to get into next year. Then Division Road drop the above mentioned Viberg make up late October and I realized that I could get in this year’s dome on the late entry. Five months later here we are. The cypress leather handles the work environment fantastic and it was a pleasure to watch it develop unique character every single day. After about month four they developed exception comfort for me. I highly recommended this boot and this leather to anyone interested.
