Over the past six months, these boots have picked up their fair share of miles and scars, each one telling a story. For their final adventure, I took them from Montana to the deserts of Utah, and as you can see in my action shot, they handled it like a dream. Despite having less aggressive tread, they tackled desert hikes with zero issues.
Final Thoughts
Viberg 310: Possibly my favorite last of all time. Great shape and roomy toe love everything about 310
Wolly CXL: A unique leather that I’d highly recommend to anyone.
Dainite Soles: I’ll admit, I started off as a skeptic. I thought the studs wore down too quickly, and at first, they did. But after an initial period of wear, they seemed to settle in and have held up well for months. Plus, the grip was better than I expected—so my mind has definitely changed.

Good value, at $700 probably not in a real world sense. That said, I did get an amazing and unique boot and for that along with impeccable construction, I'd do it again.

They are well-made, with top-notch materials.
Can’t say they’re a good value since many other makers out there these days making great boots at much lower prices.
If you’re into cameras at all, I feel like there are a lot of parallels between Viberg and Leica. Many cameras are just as good at much cheaper prices than Leica, but once you’ve held and shot with a Leica, there’s just something about them that you can’t describe that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. I feel the same with Viberg. Arguably there tons of other bookmakers out there that are just as good but they don’t have that indescribable feeling you get with a Viberg. Maybe that’s just marketing at work deep in the subconscious mind, I don’t know, but I will say these won’t be my last pair of Vibergs...."Read the full review

At $930, these were the most I’ve paid for boots at this point. It’s by no means the most expensive pair of boots out there, but if you’re looking for the best cost/quality ratio, this may not be for you. If your main priority is a highly finished and durable boot and cost isn’t as much of a factor, then I think Viberg is a solid choice. They have several different last shapes to accommodate most foot shapes. Prices have already gone up since I bought these, so you’re likely going to be paying over $1000 for these now if they were to come back around. Overall, I don’t regret buying these one bit. The comfort and fit and quality was worth the price for me, and now they have the memories of being my first Patina Thunderdome boots. So there’s that!..."Read the full review

I’m very happy with how they’re aging, just what I wanted with a “teacore” boot. Horween’s “double cordovan butts” might be the toughest Horween leather ever, which is good for obvious reasons, but not-so-good for others (ie, everyday casual wear comfort). As far as looks go, it’s hard to compete with these, I think they’re stunning. Hopefully next year I’ll have better photography locked in for better and more consistent lighting and backdrops. I had hoped to have a better setup this year but it didn’t materialize, unfortunately. As a result, I think I didn’t do these boots justice with last minute contest photos.
