Wescos for the win. Love these boots and this leather. Result was art from a blank cacanvas

They saw time on the tractor, cutting wood, tending chickens, digging holes, working under the hood, fire pit, snow plowing & shoveling, out on the town, you name it. 6th month got them a thorough clean and condition and then a re-condition. They’ve been brushed and buffed a bit for their final photo op and before they’re shut down for a while. I was worried about this ridiculously soft leather holding up to what I’d inevitably throw at it, but it was a champ, and it definitely shows every single indiscretion that came its way. These White’s are absolutely the hardest worked boots I own
White's Custom Model in Horween Cinnamon Waxed FleshBy AndrewsBoots • April 5, 2026"Over the six months of the thunder dome, I wore these boots nearly every day of the week while working as a historic preservation intern at Tumacacori National Historical Park. As my first job after getting out of high school I assisted in the safe assembly of scaffolding on the west end of the church to be used in assessing and repairing a structural crack in a wall and another more concerning crack on the dome of the church. I made adobe blocks made up of dirt and sand mixed, then molded in wood forms and set to dry. I did a lot of weed whacking, leaf blowing, sidewalk brushing, bathroom cleaning, trash picking, vacuum running, dirt scooping, and wood working but I also did a whole lot of learning about my local culture and history which provided an overall great experience and first job. Who Said Dress Shoes Can't Dome?
Carmina Long Wing Blucher Shoes 532 in Horween Armagnac Shell CordovanBy Janbiya • April 5, 2026"These shoes have spend a lot of time on office carpet but a good bit on gravel and traipsing through shallow puddles, too. They were "be-all do-all" shoes as a good Dome paid should be. I didn't pull any punches and the leather soles kept my feet safe and dry even if there was a bit of slipping and sliding on steep streets and uneven rain-slick steps.
I didn't wear them exclusively and my schedule prevented me from walking as much as I did in the last Dome, but I still walk a lot and I estimate I put 500 miles/800 kilometers on them...."Read the full review
