Bought these as they were a special very limited leather offering during the first sample leather sale Nicks offered. Having one of a kind boots from Nicks drew my attention.
Followed Nicks sizing guide for fit from the website and from previous pairs.
Ordered online during special Youtube event. Normal online ordering process otherwise.
Yes so far mostly office work and so light basement remodeling.
Still too early to tell but with the light tan smooth side I expect the patina to really pop with some wear.
55 last has a good arch feel. Plenty of toe room for my foot. I wear a size down from standard sneaker sizing. I usually wear a set of mid-weight Darn Tough socks with these.
These are a very limited edition MTO being only one hide available during the first ever Sample Sale at Nicks. I feel they went above and beyond on this pair. Rolled edge was made out of W&C DS Crimson. Eyelets are nickel with the speed hooks being brass. In my opinion this gives the boot a great contrast. The smooth side of the leather is a even tan which should show well as the boot gets some patina and gives the interior of the boot a lined appearance.
So far the heel is tough but flexible. Seems to have good traction.
No issues. Good solid heel strike.
Very pleased overall with this boot. I am a repeat Nicks customer for this reason. When I had the opportunity to jump on a likely one of a kind Nicks boot during the 1st Sample Leather Sale I was all in. With the finishing in this boot it shows how much Nicks appreciates its customer base. Couldn’t be happier.
