They truly can be, and at least in my case, are now real hiking boots. 30+ miles a week for the last 2 months, holding up against my river adjacent, multi-terrain, trail blazing. Durability-wise, I am very impressed. I have much experience tearing through hiking boots, and these things put to shame some of the best cemented hikers on the market (I won't name names...) Just everyday use I think there was a total of like 15 days that I didn't wear the boots over thast 5 months. They have gone everywhere and done everything with me! I said from the get go I wasn’t going to baby the boots I was just going to wear them and see how things turned out. This leather is pretty phenomenal in terms of its support, its durability, and its comfort one it is broken in.
Outside of everyday wear the single activity that I have used these the most for have been hiking. I went on at least one hike per month in them including day 1 for 5 miles or so. The most I did in a single day was a 13 mile hike.
I live in the desert so there tends to be a decent amount of rock scrambling and the thing that surprised me the most was how easy it was to get scuffs and scrapes out of the leather with just a little brushing with a horsehair brush...."Read the full review

Weekend Warriors Just Getting Good

Being in a clinic setting for work I felt I couldn’t pull these off with scrubs so I tried to wear them as often as possible and I knew I had a lot of work ahead of me if I wanted to have any contention in the work dome. During my off time I like to be outside and doing more physical work in general because it offers a bit of release from the mental fatigue of my profession. These boots served me well during various tasks and I feel like they’re just getting good. Some of the activities included splitting wood for barbecue and the fireplace, hiking into the wilderness to collect yamadori for bonsai, splitting and shaping staves of Osage orange in order to make hunting bows and just general yard work. They saw wind, rain, sand, mud, rocks, and wood. The only thing missing was fire...."Read the full review
