They’ve been used for work and play they’ve been drenched on many occasions too.
They are a bit chilly in the cold. A leather midsole may have helped here.

However, they’re transformation was dramatic. Notable wear include includes bringing them along with me in a few professional kitchens, where I was cooking for large events, and hiking for a few days in the dense and wet Olympic forest. Something else notable, during that hike part of the trail was flooded and I had to Wade an ankle deep lake water for about 100 yards. My first pair of Engineers and they won't be my last. I wore these a fair amount but it really ends up pulling the rest of the outfit along with it. Once you decide to put on a pair of chaps, you can't really go with the cargo pants, and there's a similar affect with these. Who Said Dress Shoes Can't Dome?
Carmina Long Wing Blucher Shoes 532 in Horween Armagnac Shell CordovanBy Janbiya • April 5, 2026"These shoes have spend a lot of time on office carpet but a good bit on gravel and traipsing through shallow puddles, too. They were "be-all do-all" shoes as a good Dome paid should be. I didn't pull any punches and the leather soles kept my feet safe and dry even if there was a bit of slipping and sliding on steep streets and uneven rain-slick steps.
I didn't wear them exclusively and my schedule prevented me from walking as much as I did in the last Dome, but I still walk a lot and I estimate I put 500 miles/800 kilometers on them...."Read the full review
