More about this item

Dust Rider, handmade boots built and designed for the ride.
The design takes inspiration from 70’s motocross boots: 9 inches tall, with a padded leg protector stitched in cross-diamond pattern, a nod to the aluminum protectors you’d see on vintage MX boots. With a gusseted tongue, speed hooks, Vibram soles, and Wickett & Craig roughout leather to wrap it all together.
And something you never see: a Gaerne Fastback toe cap on a handmade leather boots. A statement that these pairs are built to shreds, not just to look good on your gram. It’s my first time designing boots, shaped by my experiences wearing Dakar boots and Engineer boots from Fortis Boots

Travel

I wear Dust Rider as daily pair of boots, mostly on my motorcycle / enduro ride. I ride frequently on rough terrain, river crossing, cross country, and occasionally dirt race. The boots build perfectly for hard usage.

Color Change

The most notably process during 6 months are color evolution. Started from natural color, now it went to darker shade and beautiful rough out patina. The rough out leather also make it durable even with constant exposure to water and sun.

Satisfied with the Fit

The fitment on these boots are great, especially because I have Sanny measure my feet directly. The only regrets I have is not to make it 12” height - I only went for 10”

Craftsmanship

Fortis Boots Dust Rider

As Fortis craftmanship - no explanation needed. It constructed well and durable built. No stitches fallout or whatever. The thing is this is the first time we put a metal toe found in motocross boots into a workwear boots, and after 6 months, the metal toe not showing any signs of falling apart
