These were my go to for work as a food vendor at farmers markets and other events. Great protection from heavy baking equipment. Many hikes and walks with the dog. Sole is fantastic in all weathers and most surfaces (but slippery on wet tiled floors.) sturdy but, not constricting. I cut them down to about 5” I wish I had left it longer with the ankle cushion. Just about every other day, I've taken my toddler on short 1-3 hour hikes before I go to work. We live on the PNW coast, so we frequent the beach and our muddy mountain ranges.
It's been a typical rainy season, so I've had the boots soaked by rain countless times now. Most of the time, the leather just gets wet, but several times they've been completely waterlogged.
