I've been pleasantly surprised at how easy these are to wear just about every where. The sole is a little harder than im used to but still very comfortable walking around on concrete and roads all day. I've worm them to school, work, out on dates, in snow, rain and everything in between

This CXL leather is very easy to take care of and looks good and shiny after brushing with a horse hair brush. No surprise there. Very easy to break-in. Still in the process of building that patina but its been pretty robust with only a couple of spots showing that tea-core underneath

Boots from a dream - made me rethink what I enjoy in shoes

I work from home so these boots saw more intermittent but long walking distance outings. I think the lack of wear was a function of evolving style taste and also convenience (shoes off household). I am still trying to figure out where these boots land between something I love to wear and something that I think is cool but isn’t for me. Maybe it depends on the outfit, maybe it depends on where I am going for the day.
I will say these boots held up tremendously to winter weather. I tried to avoid wet weather when possible but I did catch myself reaching for these boots in all but the most torrential of conditions. I did try to give the boots good rest days between getting drenched as I find it hard to not baby boots that look this good!..."Read the full review

Being in in a walkable neighborhood, they were with me in countless trips the grocery, library, barbershop, park, laundromat, bank, hardware store, restaurants, office, and (my favorite) when I would take a walk after dinner. As for special occasions, the first week of wear coincided with the first time my mom visited from the Philippines so I broke in the boots showing her around San Francisco. I was also fortunate enough to take the boots to Providence in the winter where my wife had a grad school residency.
