Day 4 since received and they’ve been on a short neighborhood stroll and a full grocery store cart shopping trip on day 1, errands like HD and a long old man’s cautious dash through a mall parking lot during a downpour on day 2, and back-pack laden hike from ATL airport parking to North Domestic Security all the way to Terminal C, lots of walking around DT Chicago on days 3 & 4. Stiff!

They are the stiffest and toughest breaking any leather I’ve gotten from nicks thus far, by far. And I f’n love it. The leather is bomber tough but oh so gorgeous with so much pull-up and character. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a tough high character veg tan leather. Brush every time I take them off and shoe trees go in.

The HNW is not my natural last as I have very high arches, wide ball and comparatively low volume heel/ankle. I wear orthotic inserts from a good Feet Store so this gives me the arch support I need. If you’re a moderate arch with relatively equal sized ball and ankle/heel then I think the last is great for you, but if you need a lot of toe splay I’d recommend the TNW and if you need a lot of arch w/out orthotics then I highly recommend the 55 or T55 lasts from Nicks.

Great job with the upper sew stitching, the lasting was spot on as well. The heel sanding was inconsistent on the two pairs but not by an amount that I would hem and haw over, I can just have one side sanded down a little more when it’s time for a resole.

This is my 2Nd pair of nicks on the nicks wedge and Sfsg. I don’t know if the long term comfort will be as high as the 2021, still tbd. Good grip, maybe better than 2021 based on my memory of the 2021. I like the look of the Nicks wedge over the 2021z

I think the Nicks Moc Toe Wedge is the best hand made Moc toe boot you can buy in America or even perhaps the world when considering durability, comfort and design aesthetic. This is my second pair, I love them and would highly recommend. W&C DS leather just takes them to the next level imo.
