My boots have traveled with me from NJ to NYC several days a week. They were mainly used for commuting and working in my office. They have been to TX, FL, NH, VH, PA, and IL. They have been to the beach and the mountains for vacation. They have passed through the TSA 6 times.
The Spokane Honey leather is very durable. I have beat these boots up but a little brushing and a wet thumb have set the leather straight. The leather remains stiff and resilient. It will be a long time before these boots are fully broken. I have kept the maintenance routine to nothing but brushing and only applied a small amount of Venetian Cream once around month 5. Spokane Honey is a fantastic work leather and is total overkill for my daily life.
These boots have a ton of room. The T55 is voluminous. These boots are probably too long to break in naturally but the width is good. If anything they are a tad too narrow on long days. It was great to have a roomy pair of daily boots but it will be nice to wear something else. The T55 runs big in almost every respect. They feel longer and bigger in the toe than the ThurmanNW or any other boot I own.
These boots have been bullet proof. The leather, V100 lugs, cap toe and last have made them a pair of everyday dogs. The thick leather and big lugs have really shined. I never had to worry about what I was doing or where I was going. They gave me a to of confidence during a very snowy season in New Jersey. I was out blowing snow and snowboarding all winter and they went with me everywhere. It wasn’t a bad idea to dome such hardy boots over the winter.
The V100 soles have been great. Obviously they are a little overly rugged and casual for my office but I wore them anyway. They did great walking around Manhattan and in the mountains. I never had to second guess their capability. While they may not be the prettiest, it was always great to have the confidence of the full lugs.

This was my first dome so I built a boot that was a little jack of all trades. If I had to do it again, I would pick a boot more suited to my everyday life and not as overbuilt. I benefited from them but they are heavy, a little too casual and the leather is very durable. In fairness I enthusiastically selected the Spokane Honey so that I could showcase Nicks exclusive leather. I hope I showed it in a good light. Its bullet proof, super waxy and very resilient while still offering some visual intrigue. My boots may not look the most heavily worn like some other leathers but I think I represented this leather well and that was my objective. Maybe next year I can be a little bit more indulgent.
