Care Routine

The break has made the leather supple .. the color and pull up have progressed to various shades .. the crepe soles have dark patina from use and wear still remain soft and grippy .. I’ve conditioned them with Sapphir waterproof spray and Black Rock conditioner brushed them with a horse hair brush .. the original leather laces broke i upgraded to a set of generation laces parachord in Snake eye patten then to An Expresso brown color .. I don’t know what leather it is assume from Portugal or Italy Tannery as these are handmade apparently the company is out of business.

Satisfied with the Fit

True to size we’re a bit stiff at first .. very supple once worn a bit and conditioned.. wide almost barefoot toe box and feel .. no added in soles .. veg tan foot bed I’ve only worn them with socks .. but I’m confident they would be great boat driving shoe and could be worn without socks. No Shank obviously..

Hardware

Handmade and looks hand sewn .. stitching looks to be done by hand .. it seem well made .. even a bit crude but that attracted me .. the seem very durable . I wouldn’t step I deep puddles with them .. as it might seep through stitching . But have worn them in rain and light snow .. there are no eyelets I might have some added .. but it does t detract from anything .. it’s a unlined moccasin with h a nice veg tan footbed ..

Design

Loved the feel and look of the Crepe sole .. it’s very soft I’ve worn it on blacktop , grass , rain and snowy terrain .. it’s grippy and comfortable with a almost barefoot feel on foot .. this was a nice added touch as this was a collaboration with Huckberry.. versus a Vibram or comparable sole option ..a wet smooth surface these could be slippery but I never wore them on wet tile .. they would make a nice driving shoe .. if I recrafted them I might add a shank or maybe a chunky lug style .. but that seems to be a trend with loafers not moccasins style shoes ..

Final thoughts

Unfortunately it seems Yogi brand is out of business.. I’m glad I was able to purchase these .. they are unique Looking and not many people have a pair especially in the boot community.. I bought these on sale and would again but they are discontinued.. I believe they are recraftable.. once they reach that point it’s a chance to make them more unique ..I recommended them
