This sums up the past 6 months : apart from dedicated sports shoes like runners or climbing shoes, I've been quite literally living in this pair of Legatant.
To work on outside-sub-0 conditions, to parties to own the dancefloor, to short hikes in the Pyrenees, to the workshop where they proved to work fine as safety boots, to the city to ride a bike, to my best friend's wedding.
But also in sub-optimal scenarios such as through endless TSA checkpoints everytime there was a flight. To a 3 weeks trip in Africa walking through farms, jungle, savannah or sprawling cities. Loading and unloading the van after each farmer's market, or washing hundreds of glasses and cups.
Part of it was the spirit of the Thunderdome, but the truth is, they are just so damn comfortable, I didn't want to wear anything else...."Read the full review

However, they’re transformation was dramatic. Notable wear include includes bringing them along with me in a few professional kitchens, where I was cooking for large events, and hiking for a few days in the dense and wet Olympic forest. Something else notable, during that hike part of the trail was flooded and I had to Wade an ankle deep lake water for about 100 yards. Whether it’s pulling attic fans out of old houses, or braving a winter storm to cut frozen trees away from the house. These were on my feet.
I brush them up for the office on Monday, but otherwise, they do everything. They’ll be with me on a multi-day hike at the Grand Canyon next week.

Based in Singapore, humidity and heat are a constant but travels have taken me to beaches of Cebu earlier this year, snow of Kyushu in the dead of winter and wonderful coast of Perth at the end of 2025. Safe to say the Trickers definitely held up and saw the beauty this world has to offer.
Note: The midway mark saw a touch up with Saphir products since the dry winter wind in Japan was merciless. Perhaps the patina would have been more prominent without this but I’m more keen on protecting the leather than high contrast patina for the sake of it...."Read the full review
